Lattes with Lucy
Royals fan-favorite character Lucy (played by Stephanie Sherry), is the voice of reason in the scripted fiction show, and an older, wiser, resource for the cast of Cove Acadamy characters as they navigate through life’s problems. Friendship breakups, family crises, situationships… you name it, these kids go through it. Lucy is the owner of the Cafe that employs Ella and that becomes the group’s central hub (think ‘Central Perk’ hangout but with better lattes). Because of this, Lucy is often the go-to for big sister-style life advice, and boy does she serve it up.
Turns out Lucy the character is not so different from the actress behind the voice, Stephanie Sherry. So we’re hitting listeners with a fan-series straight out of a meta, multiverse, Dear Abby situation. Its Lucy, its Stephanie… wait, no its definitely Stephanie, dishing out advice and responses to real-life submissions from The Royals devoted fanbase and also maybe some first timers just dipping their biscotti while they try us out.
Stephanie will enlist cast members throughout the season to help her dish out answers and ask questions themselves… and maybe even share a few behind-the-scenes nuggets about the show along the way. Lattes With Lucy launches August 5 in the Royals of Malibu feed.
Stephanie Sherry is a SAG actor, comic, voiceover artist, and host. She is a proud New Yorker based in Los Angeles. Los Angeles has grown on her. The bagels have not.
Stephanie is a member of the Advanced Improv Program at UCB. She has performed standup at The Hollywood Improv, Comedy Store, Flappers, and Gotham in NYC.
Her acting and standup have been featured on HBO Max, TruTV, Sling TV, Buzzfeed, and more. She was awarded “Best Newcomer Actress” by the IOWF for her starring role in the comedic series “Sensitive”, streaming now on Amazon.
She was previously a livestream host for Airtime (31K followers) and hosted multiple weekly shows including STEPH LOVES PSYCH, #ACTORPROBLEMS, and WE LOVE ARI. She does indeed love psych (and Ariana Grande).
Stephanie is a recurring red carpet and talkback host for Cinequest.
You can hear her dubbing work on Netflix’s “Elize Matsunaga: Once Upon a Crime”. She is the Official Voice of the US Olympic Bobsled Team and can be heard in commercial spots for Apple, Monster, Hammerstrength, Rover, Skillz, and many more.
